General Program Questions
Little Lighthouse Preschool serves children ages 2–6 years old.
Our full-time program operates Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Our educational approach combines structured learning, guided play, hands-on exploration, and real-life skill development in a nurturing environment that supports confidence, independence, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking. We incorporate Montessori-inspired elements and focus on the whole child — socially, emotionally, and developmentally.
We take a confidence-first approach to early childhood education. Our program emphasizes emotional development, independence, structure, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a calm and supportive environment where children feel safe to explore and grow.
Little Lighthouse Preschool maintains small group sizes to support individualized attention, consistency, relationship-building, and quality care for each child.
Yes. Little Lighthouse Preschool is licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division. Parents have the right to review licensing reports upon request.
Enrollment & Tuition
Yes. At this time, Little Lighthouse Preschool offers a full-time program Monday–Friday.
Tuition includes full-day care and supervision, structured curriculum and learning activities, meals and snacks (breakfast, lunch, and 1–2 daily snacks), outdoor play, enrichment activities, and regular parent communication and updates.
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, and 1–2 snacks are provided daily. All meals are designed to support balanced nutrition and children's daily energy needs.
Yes. A non-refundable enrollment fee of $300 is required to secure your child's space in the program. A $200 materials fee is also due at the time of enrollment.
Monthly tuition is $2,300 for the full-time program.
Tuition and enrollment fees are non-refundable once the billing period begins, in accordance with the policies outlined in the Enrollment Agreement and Parent Handbook.
Families may contact the Preschool directly to join the Interest List, ask questions, or begin the enrollment process.
Daily Experience & Care
Children participate in a balanced daily schedule that includes free play, circle time, structured learning activities, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and creative exploration.
Yes. A daily rest/nap period is included as part of the program schedule. Children are not required to sleep but are expected to rest quietly.
We understand that starting preschool is a major transition for both children and families. Our team provides a supportive, thoughtful transition process designed to help each child feel comfortable, secure, and confident in their new environment.
Every child adjusts differently, and that is completely normal. Our team works closely with families to provide a patient, nurturing, and individualized transition process that helps children feel safe and confident over time.
Our program supports kindergarten readiness through structured learning activities, communication skills, emotional development, problem-solving, independence, and consistent daily routines — all designed to help children feel confident and prepared for the next stage of learning.
We use a positive guidance approach focused on communication, redirection, problem-solving, and emotional development. Our goal is to help children develop appropriate social and emotional skills in a supportive environment.
Safety & Communication
Safety and supervision are top priorities at Little Lighthouse Preschool. We maintain structured procedures and operate in full accordance with applicable California childcare licensing requirements to support a secure and well-managed environment.
Our team is carefully selected and trained to provide attentive, supportive, and high-quality care in a safe and nurturing environment.
Families receive regular updates regarding their child's day, activities, and overall experience through Brightwheel, our secure parent communication platform.
We believe strong communication and partnership with families are essential to each child's success. Our team works closely with parents to support each child's individual needs, development, and overall Preschool experience.
If a child becomes ill during the program day, parents/guardians will be contacted promptly and must arrange for pick-up in accordance with Preschool health policies.
